Obedience

Colossians 3:20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. (KJV)
Ephesians 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.(KJV)
Deutoronomy 11:27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day:(KJV)
Genesis 22:18
And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
(KJV)
Jeremiah 12:17 But if they will not obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that nation, saith the LORD.(KJV)

I have been trying to find ways to be more obedient to God, and my parents suggested that I do a search on obedience. That is why those verses are there. From all different parts of the Bible God lead everyone of theses verses to me one by one. All of them individual told me that if I disobey God, it will affect more people than just me. I need to obey God and that means that I need to to obey my parents because Ephesians 6:1 says "Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.(KJV)"

:My Prayer:

Dear God,
Help me to obey my parents and to do what they say the first time. Help me to read your word every day and to plan a special time with you. Amen

Strengthen me oh God!

Tonight I was outside with my mom enjoying the evening, and in the sky I saw this really big bird flying slow and it looked like it couldn't go any faster, like it wasn't in him. As that bird was flying slow a very tiny bird flew by going three times faster than the other one. It had a lot of strength and courage in him.

As I was watching that, the Lord told me that I can do more in my life as a Christian than what I have been doing, that can go further. For instance, being involved in more ministries, helping more in signing for the deaf at my church and even volunteering for my mom at home if there is anything I can do for her. I felt then that I haven't been doing a lot and that I will please God and others if I be a volunteer.

These verses reminded me of this night.

Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
"

Matthew 10:27, "And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God:with God all things are possible."

Dear God, help me to be a volunteer unto you and others. Please help me to do what ever they say no matter what and that I can go farther than before. Amen
